GASON INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED (“Gason”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is a DPIIT-recognized startup. This Job Applicant Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information of individuals who apply for employment, internships, training, or contractual roles through www.gason.in or related recruitment channels.

1. Scope

This policy applies to:

• Job applicants submitting resumes or applications via our website

• Candidates applying through email, job portals, referrals, or walk-ins

• Trainees, apprentices, and contractual applicants

This policy does not apply to employees after onboarding (covered under internal HR policies).

We collect information relevant to recruitment and selection, including:

• Personal details: Name, contact number, email address, location

• Professional information: Resume/CV, education, experience, skills, certifications

• Identity details: Age, date of birth (only if required by law or role)

• Interview records: Assessment notes, technical evaluations, background responses

• Documents voluntarily submitted by applicants

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data such as financial passwords or biometric identifiers.

3. Purpose of Collection

Applicant data is collected strictly for:

• Evaluating suitability for current or future job opportunities

• Conducting interviews, assessments, and background verification (if applicable)

• Communicating recruitment status and offers

• Meeting statutory, compliance, and audit requirements

By submitting your application, you provide free, informed, and explicit consent for processing your personal data for recruitment purposes, in accordance with applicable Indian laws.

5. Data Sharing

Applicant information may be shared only with:

• Authorized HR personnel and interviewers

• Background verification agencies (where legally required or role-specific)

We do not sell or commercially exploit applicant data.

6. Data Retention

• If selected: Data becomes part of employee records

• If not selected: Data may be retained for up to 12 months for future opportunities, unless deletion is requested earlier

• Data required for legal purposes may be retained longer as mandated

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect applicant data from unauthorized access, misuse, or loss.

8. Applicant Rights

Applicants have the right to:

• Request access or correction of their personal information

• Withdraw consent or request deletion of data (subject to legal obligations)
